Kwara Police Arrest Students For Rape

The Kwara State police command has arrested three of six students of the state College of Health and Technology, Offa who allegedly raped their female colleague.

The state commissioner of Police, Ambrose Aisabo, told newsmen in Ilorin that the victim was drugged by the six suspects before they raped her.

He said that the suspects raped the victim “mercilessly until she became unconscious.”
The Police boss said that the victim had been admitted at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) for treatment.

He assured that the remaining three suspects who are at large would be apprehended and brought to book alongside their arrested colleagues.

Aisabo disclosed that items recovered at the scene of the incident include three used condoms, a bottle of pourche liquor, one red lady’s pant, a pair of lady’s shoes and one handset belonging to the victim.

The police boss also disclosed the arrest of some suspected student cult members over cult activities at the state polytechnic in Ilorin.

He said two of the suspects were arrested at the institution during a clash between Eiye and Alora, two rival secret cults, while another one was arrested at the institution when he and other members of his cult were about to carry out a reprisal attack against members of the Alora/Buccaneer cult.

He added that another one, of Eiye confraternity, was arrested while he and his five colleagues who at large at present were trying to coerce an innocent student for the purpose of initiating him to their cult.

The police boss said that the command recovered in Ilorin a Toyota Camry car with registration number LND 857 AR snatched in Ibadan by an armed robbery gang and arrested a member of the gang.
